The idea of make- up is simple and generic yet the instruction and familiarity may somehow not be complementary with your daily activities.

Say you’re: a student who blissfully faces her graduation day tomorrow; a proud soon-to-be wife to the man of your dreams in a few hours; or a businesswoman going to a Black Tie event to receive her Entrepreneur of the Year award and make an endearing speech. Perhaps, you don’t have the time of your life to get stuck in a sticky situation and stress about it and worst, look the part.

Here’s when a make- up artist walks in at your doorstep and helps you become beautiful and most importantly, makes you feel beautiful.

A lot of people hear make-up artist and think frivolous; for rich people, unnecessary since woman can do their own makeup every day. Not so fast-sure. One must realize that everyday makeup won’t stand up to the eye of the camera, most especially with people’s eager eyes. These jokers are serious. They see every tiny detail, and no matter how much of that branded cosmetic you put on, it just doesn’t have the ability to provide enough coverage that you need.

Yes, there are some confident souls who can roll up their sleeves and tackle the task themselves, but for your moment in the spotlight, amidst time restraints, wouldn’t you rather have the job done by a professional?

Recently, we had taping for our lifestyle- themed program called Lifestyle & BeauTV. Everyone should know that any television-set production is fast paced, so everyone should be looking perfectly even before the camera starts rolling. Ms. Luffel Cornista, the resident make- up artist for the day made an effortless job dolling up two of our muses: Ms. Maian Garcia, my co- host; and Ms. Jonah Mae Cornel, guest model.

Since 2010, Ms. Luffel has been creating beautiful faces as a freelance make- up artist to clients ranging from wedding personalities, debut celebrants, to fashion and ad models. Before the boom in her career, she works at a bank. She told us that applying make- up became a necessity then and that what pushed her more to pursue the vocation were due to her friends’ belief and encouragement.

Her expertise wasn’t only brought by her interest in cosmetics but because of hard work and dedication. She attends seminars, and constantly watches make- up tutorials on Youtube to educate herself more. As what she said, make- up comes in trial and error. It mostly depends on your knowledge on products and skin care.

For clients needing hair and make-up services, wardrobe and accessories, and photoshoot styling at very reasonable rates, you can reach Luffel via email at cornistalufelia@yahoo.com or cornistalufelia@gmail.com.
