I can’t get enough of Ms. Banawe’s monochromatic artistry. Her black and white photographs make blanket changes on things beyond sight. Hers take on a bigger role in telling a story which I absolutely marvel at. Take a tour of her blog at photographicimprints.tumblr.com, and notice how lighting, contrast, and composition are important in counterweighing the absence of color.
This one, in particular, I fell in love with. I call her Beelzebub ‘cause it makes sense. I took the pleasure of making it a Vogue Italia faux magazine cover and called it Vogue Filipina.
